FAQ’s For Your move?
We offer secure storage for your belongings with a minimum commitment of one week, and you can extend it for as long as you need to, with monthly billing. If you vacate the storage before the month ends, we’ll refund you for the unused period. A minimum of one week’s notice is required when you plan to move out.
Our vehicles need convenient parking within a 20-meter radius from the entrance at both the pick-up and drop-off locations. Additionally, it is crucial to be aware of local restrictions on height, length, and weight. Customers are required to arrange and prepay for parking permits in advance. Any penalties incurred due to the absence of proper parking permits will be the full responsibility of the customer to settle.
We offer the service of disconnecting and reconnecting appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, and tumble dryers.
However, please be aware that we do not handle the connection of any gas appliances. We also do not undertake tasks like drilling holes in walls or hanging paintings unless such arrangements have been made in advance.
In the case of electrical disconnections and reconnections, we can arrange for one of our reliable and experienced handymen to handle the task. Their charges will be clearly itemized separately on our quotation under the category of HANDYMAN SERVICE.
Our removal team will arrange your furniture as per your instructions. Please note that our standard insurance does not extend coverage for our employees working in lofts or roof spaces lacking permanent staircases, lighting, and flooring. For floors beyond one flight up without a suitable lift for all furniture, a prior agreement is necessary; otherwise, the quoted estimate will not be valid. Any dismantling and assembly of household goods must also be pre-approved, and all quotes already include this service as a standard offering.
By our Terms and Conditions, we retain the authority to impose a fee for postponement or cancellation, contingent upon the notice period provided. The applicable charges are outlined as follows:
More than 10 working days before the scheduled removal: No charge.
Between 5 and 10 working days, inclusive, before the scheduled removal: A fee not exceeding 10% of the removal charge.
Less than 5 working days before the scheduled removal: A fee not exceeding 60% of the removal charge.
Less than 24 hours before the scheduled removal: 100% of the removal charge.
To initiate an on-site visit with our Expert Consultants, it’s essential to book a slot, providing accurate details like the full address and contact number. Consultants assess the move’s complexity, plan dismantling and reassembly, evaluate item handling difficulty, estimate volume and box requirements, consider loading logistics, and account for access challenges. Factors like parking, restrictions, stairs, and lifts are also taken into consideration. After the on-site survey, we aim to deliver a written quotation within 24 hours.
Following the evaluation of your move by our expert consultant, we will send you a detailed quotation that can be adjusted if necessary. It’s important to note that our quotation is informative and not binding.
In contrast, an invoice serves as a legally binding agreement between you, the client, and us, the removal company. The issuance of an invoice occurs after the written acceptance of the quotation. Payment for the invoice must be made in accordance with the specified terms and conditions.
Optimal booking for your removal is well in advance. It’s important to note that moving companies experience high demand during the summer and holiday seasons. Ideally, a 4 to 6-week lead time before your planned move is recommended. However, we can accommodate urgent small moves, and in situations where you haven’t secured a new residence, we offer storage solutions until your final location is determined.
In instances where customers personally pack boxes and items incur damage during transportation, our liability for owner-packed goods is restricted. Due to the lack of knowledge regarding the quality of packaging, materials used for cushioning, and the initial condition of goods before packing, it is challenging to ascertain these factors. However, if we are held liable for any damage to owner-packed goods, our responsibility is limited to £40 per item.
To address potential damages comprehensively, we provide insurance packages that cover various scenarios. For a supplementary fee, opting for fully covered removals through these insurance packages is the most comprehensive option.
We require essential details such as local height, length, and weight restrictions. Customers are responsible for arranging and covering the costs of parking permits. Additionally, information about parking and driveway possibilities would be valuable for us.
We can handle the connection and disconnection of most appliances, excluding gas appliances. Drilling holes in the walls and hanging paintings are not services we provide unless pre-arranged with us.
Our removal team will arrange your furniture according to your preferences. It’s important to note that our standard insurance does not cover our employees for work in lofts or roof spaces lacking permanent staircases, lighting, and flooring. If the location is on a floor more than one flight up without a lift sufficient for all furniture, prior agreement is necessary; otherwise, the quoted estimate will not be valid. Additionally, any dismantling and assembly of household goods must be agreed upon in advance, and these services are included in all quotes as standard.
The price(s) we have quoted includes Standard Liability for loss of or damage to your goods whilst they are in our custody and control, subject to you providing us with a declaration of the value of your goods and subject to our Terms and Conditions. We would draw your attention to the items for which we will not accept liability, and to the exclusions which apply to our liability. This quotation includes liability to a maximum value of £50,000. If you would like us to accept liability for an amount over £50,000, our price(s) will be increased (as separately advised to you) to reflect the higher level of liability.
Charges if you postpone or cancel the removal
If you postpone or cancel this agreement, we will charge you according to how much notice is given. “Working days” refer to the normal working week of Monday to Friday and excludes weekends and Public Holidays.
More than 10 working days before the removal was due to start: No charge.
Between 5 and 10 working days, inclusive, before the removal was due to start, not more than 30% of the removal charge.
Less than 5 working days before the removal was due to start: not more than 60% of the removal charge.
Our Expert Consultants bring extensive experience to accurately estimate the necessary resources and devise a moving plan for our customers. They evaluate the intricacies of the move, strategize the dismantling and reassembly process, and assess the difficulty of handling specific items. The consultant gauges the total volume, determines the required number of boxes, identifies the vehicle loading location, and ensures safe access for loading and unloading. Factors such as parking, vehicle restrictions, stairs, and lifts are also taken into account. Based on these assessments, our consultants then calculate the manpower and time required to successfully complete your move.
Optimal scheduling for your removal is to book as early as possible. It’s important to note that during the summer season and holidays, moving companies experience high demand. Ideally, a 4 to 6-week lead time before your intended move is recommended. However, we can accommodate urgent small moves, and if you currently don’t have a destination, we offer storage solutions until you secure your final location.
